About Kaidon Salter
Kaidon Salter, a dynamic quarterback, began his journey at Cedar Hill High School in Cedar Hill, Texas, where he graduated in December 2020. His impressive high school career culminated in being named the 2020 Sports Illustrated Texas High School Football Quarterback of the Year, earning him recognition as a Top 50 national prospect.
Salter initially joined the University of Tennessee, where he participated in the 2021 spring workouts. However, he soon transferred to Liberty University, where he quickly made his mark. In his freshman year, Salter threw for 1,088 yards and eight touchdowns, while also ranking third on the team with 69 carries for 285 rushing yards.
His sophomore year was a historic one for Liberty, as Salter set the record for the most rushing yards in a single season by a quarterback, amassing 1,089 yards. His outstanding performances earned him national recognition, becoming a finalist for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award and being named a two-time Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award National Player of the Week. Additionally, Salter was honored as the HERO Sports G5 National Player of the Year and selected for the HERO Sports G5 All-America First Team as a quarterback.
