About Clay Fields
Clay Fields began his collegiate career at Marist, where he spent five years developing his skills before transferring to the University of Tennessee. Before his college career, Clay was a standout at Franklin High School in New Jersey, playing both defensive back and wide receiver. His talent was evident early on, earning him First Team All-Conference honors as a senior wide receiver and Third Team All-Conference recognition as a junior defensive back. He was also named Third Team All-Area as a defensive back in his senior year.
At Tennessee, Clay quickly made an impact on the field, tying the school record with four pass breakups in a dominant win over ETSU, with three of those breakups occurring on successive plays. Throughout the season, he recorded 49 tackles and led the team with 10 passes defended, including nine breakups.
He currently plays for the Ottawa Redblacks.
