About Kieron Van Wyk
Kieron van Wyk has made a remarkable impact in the world of golf, both at the collegiate level and beyond. During his time at the College of Charleston, van Wyk achieved several historic milestones, including becoming the first Black golfer in Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) history to win medalist honors at the league tournament in 2022. His outstanding performances continued as he was named the CAA Golfer of the Year for both 2022 and 2023.
In addition to his individual accolades, van Wyk was recognized as a First Team All-CAA selection for three consecutive years (2022, 2023, and 2024). His exceptional play earned him the CAA Golfer of the Week award on March 23 and, in 2024, he achieved the notable distinction of being the Co-CAA Individual Champion.
van Wyk has also made history off the course as the first international golfer approved by the US immigration office to legally participate in Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) activities in the United States. His impressive achievements have led to a significant endorsement deal with Under Armour, which has signed him as their exclusive collegiate athlete.
