About Gavin Meyer

Gavin Meyer is a defensive lineman who transferred to USC after four seasons at Wyoming. Over his collegiate career, he appeared in 45 games, starting 19, and recorded 99 tackles, including 10.5 tackles for loss and 5 sacks. He also had 3 quarterback hurries, 3 pass breakups, 3 blocked kicks, and 1 forced fumble. In 2024, as a redshirt senior at USC, Meyer played in all 13 games, starting 12, and totaled 32 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 3 quarterback hurries, 3 pass breakups, and 1 blocked kick. Notable performances include 4 tackles against Rutgers, including 2 tackles for loss and 1 sack, and 4 tackles in the Las Vegas Bowl against Texas A&M.

 

At Wyoming, Meyer played in 13 games in 2023, recording 26 tackles, including 3.5 tackles for loss. In 2022, he had 40 tackles, 5 tackles for loss, and 4 sacks, earning career-highs with 8 tackles against Colorado State and 2 sacks against New Mexico. Meyer began his career in 2020 and made an immediate impact as a true freshman. A three-star recruit from Wisconsin, Meyer was named First Team All-State by the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association in both 2018 and 2019.
