About Ethan Barr
A proven leader and playmaker, Ethan Barr arrives at UCF after a standout career at Vanderbilt, where he was a two-time team captain and one of the SEC’s most consistent defenders. In 2023, he started all 12 games for the Commodores, finishing fourth on the team with 55 tackles, along with a sack, three tackles for loss, and a forced fumble. Off the field, he earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors and was named to the SEC Community Service Team.
Throughout his career at Vanderbilt, Barr showcased his durability and impact, appearing in 45 games and consistently producing, including leading all SEC linebackers in interceptions in 2021. A semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy and a nominee for the Wuerffel Trophy, Barr combines high-level production with elite character, bringing veteran experience and leadership to the UCF defense.
